Scientific findings from reproducible experiments on Aquadea water

What do you measure when you examine water after it has passed through the Aquadea vortex unit?

First of all, something invisible: the water is suddenly full of tiny gas bubbles. Not the kind you see as fizzy bubbles – these are a thousand times smaller. So small that nothing can be seen even through a normal microscope. Only highly specialised laser measuring instruments such as the ZetaView can count and measure these nanobubbles.

In our measurements, Aquadea-treated water typically contained ten to forty million such nanobubbles per millilitre. In a single sip of water, that amounts to many hundreds of millions of tiny bubbles. They do not rise like normal bubbles, and they do not burst. They remain stable in the water for days – a phenomenon that is still little known in conventional water treatment.

These bubbles contain air, above all oxygen. The idea is that when you drink the water, this oxygen reaches the digestive tract, where it may be taken up through the mucous membranes. The amount involved is not enormous – but it is finely distributed and available over hours.

How small are these nanobubbles?

It is precisely this tiny size that matters: because of it, the nanobubbles have an enormous combined surface area. If you add up the surfaces of all the bubbles in one litre of Aquadea water, you arrive at several square metres – in a single litre of water.

A remarkable inner surface

This inner surface is where things happen. Imagine: in every sip of water there are many square centimetres of active interface between water and gas. A great deal takes place at these interfaces. Water can behave differently here and may take up or release substances more readily. It is as if your water had gained an additional active dimension that ordinary tap water simply does not have.

Negative charge, as in natural springs

If you examine the surface of these tiny bubbles more closely, something else remarkable emerges: they are electrically charged. Negatively, to be precise. Scientists call this the zeta potential. For Aquadea water it lies at around −25 to −29 millivolts – a value also found in fresh, lively mountain springs.

This negative charge has two consequences. First, the bubbles repel one another and do not clump together – they stay evenly distributed in the water and remain stable for days. Second, negatively charged particles play a part in many metabolic processes in the body. Fresh spring water carries such a charge; stale tap water does not.

There is a classic effect in physics that described this phenomenon as early as 1892: the Lenard effect. When water is finely atomised – at a waterfall, a mountain stream or in an Aquadea shower – very fine droplets form and release negatively charged ions into the surrounding air. This is why the air at a waterfall is so often described as refreshing and invigorating. An Aquadea vortex shower creates the same effect in your own bathroom.

Visible differences in crystal analysis

There is a special method that has been used again and again in the Aquadea tradition for years: image-forming crystallisation. It is more than a hundred years old and was originally developed by plant researchers. A drop of water is placed on a glass slide, mixed with a little copper chloride and then left to crystallise slowly, over hours. As the water evaporates, the minerals settle in patterns that reveal a great deal about the character of the water.

Dr. med. vet. Wilhelm Höfer of Wasserstudio Bodensee in Überlingen has long applied this method to a wide variety of waters – well water, mountain spring water, medicinal spring water, stale tap water. The resulting images are strikingly different. Water from dead springs shows only shapeless crusts. Fresh spring water shows fern-like, highly branched, opening structures.

“The shower and the filter unit with vortex attachment produced optimal crystal structures in our otherwise low-energy Lake Constance mixed water. Until now I had found such life-like forms in water from the Zamzam well in Mecca, from the upper reaches of the Ganges, or in alkaline waters and special light springs.”

— Dr. Wilhelm Höfer, Wasserstudio Bodensee, 2017

This statement is remarkable. Dr. Höfer compares the Aquadea vortex structures with water from some of the most revered springs in the world – water that people have experienced as particularly wholesome and powerful for thousands of years. In his crystal images, ordinary Lake Constance tap water, after Aquadea vortex treatment, looks like lively spring water.

Based on the crystal images, Dr. Höfer can tell with a high degree of accuracy whether a water comes from a lively spring or from a dead water pipe. And he clearly places the Aquadea vortex images in the “lively” category.

The movement stays in the water

Another interesting observation is that the dynamics of the vortex remain visible in the water for some time after it has passed through an Aquadea Crystal Vortex™ unit. Under the dark-field microscope, fine dynamic movement structures can be seen in the swirled water, continually changing and reorganising.

According to customer feedback, it is precisely this liveliness that many people describe as the special character of Aquadea water.

Swirled Aquadea water is for people who do not just want to drink water, but want to experience it consciously.
