Frequently Asked Questions

All AQUADEA products carry the statutory two-year warranty. Should a defect appear within that time, such as a manufacturing fault, we will repair or replace your product free of charge. Your statutory rights apply regardless of how you care for your product.

On electroplated resonance plates in silver, gold, ruthenium, platinum, palladium and rhodium, the coating may wear down after prolonged use, exposing the bronze or titanium base plate. This is ordinary wear and does not change the energetic effect. Light scratches and other signs of use are normal too.

Damage caused by improper treatment, for instance by vinegar-based cleaners, is not a defect and is therefore not covered by the warranty. Even so, please do get in touch if something has happened to your product. Together we usually find a solution quickly.

The following care instructions will help you preserve the quality of your products for as long as possible.

Care step by step

Step 1: Descaling with citric acid

As the basis of any cleaning, first free the product of limescale. Depending on the limescale content in your region, this needs to be done at different intervals, which is why we cannot give a general recommendation. However, you should check every few weeks whether it is time again. The more regularly this is done, the easier and quicker the cleaning.

First unscrew your Trinity or ToneOne and any combinations,
or turn the shower plate off the bell housing. Take a
glass bowl, fill it with warm water to a depth of about 5 cm (roughly 200–400 ml),
add a teaspoon of pure citric acid (e.g. HEITMANN) and stir briefly. Leave the products in the water for 5–15 minutes, depending on how soiled they are. Then rinse with clear water.

Important! Do not use acetic acid, vinegar essences, vinegar-based products or other cleaning agents, as these attack or even destroy the metals and the crystals.

Caution! On products with calcareous stones such as larimar, lapis lazuli and azurite-malachite, the gemstones dissolve in citric acid. If you place only the resonance plate of a shower head in the water with citric acid, you can still clean the plate. Make sure you fill the bowl with just 1 cm of water, so that the resonance plate is in contact but the calcareous stone is not.

Tip! To avoid limescale deposits from standing water, we recommend dabbing the bundle nozzle dry once a day, or the shower plate after showering, with a
clean, soft cotton cloth that is as lint-free as possible. To remove the water from the shower hose with a single click, we also offer a Nito connector in our shop.

Note on bronze products: On pure bronze products, and on bronze products with damaged plating, green oxidation can occur that closely resembles verdigris in appearance. True verdigris, however, only forms through contact with vinegar.

Step 2: Cleaning with Hagerty Silver & Multimetal Foam

Metals can oxidise, and besides limescale this can lead to further soiling. For this there is Silver & Multimetal Foam by Hagerty. Using the sponge provided, dab the foam on carefully until it lathers. Let it work until it has dried slightly, then rinse the foam off under running water with the sponge. This foam is suitable for all metals and is normally sufficient with regular care.

Step 3: Cleaning with metal-specific cleaning agents

With insufficient care, and sometimes depending on regional water quality, heavier soiling can occur which then calls for more intensive care.

For silver and the metals ruthenium, platinum, palladium and rhodium we recommend Hagerty Silver Polish. You can dab the polish on carefully with a cotton bud or cotton pad. Let it work until it has dried slightly. Wash the polish off under running water with a very soft sponge or cloth.

For gold, which can develop brownish spots under certain circumstances, Hagerty offers Gold Clean. Here the product is first immersed in the
liquid, if its size allows. Afterwards the oxidised areas can be cleaned again
with a soft cloth dipped in the liquid, using circular movements. If you are cleaning a shower plate, you can skip the first step and polish the plate directly with the soaked cloth.

For bronze, which is particularly susceptible, Hagerty likewise offers Copper, Brass & Bronze Polish. Bronze is robust, so a little more pressure can be used here than on electroplated products. Apply the polish, let it work until it has dried slightly, then rinse it off with a soft sponge under running water.

 Depending on the model, please turn off the water before changing the filter.

The water filter devices have the same performance because the same filter cartridge
is used.

The first difference is the design. The Okato Nature water filter has a wooden head and base, is more solid, has a longer, thicker spout, and a wider base.

The Okato Style water filter has a plastic head and a narrower base. The spout is thinner and shorter. It's smaller and lighter overall, which is advantageous for travel, use in a camper van, or small kitchens.

The Okato Nature water filter, on the other hand, is well suited for use with multi-level aerators or kitchen sinks with very wide rims.

Yes, the Aquadea water filters also remove drug residues.
The filter performance is between 82% and 98%

Basically, let the water run through until it's cool (the same temperature as straight from the tap). Depending on the filter type, this can be up to 10 liters. If you're away for 3-4 weeks or longer, the cartridges can be stored in the refrigerator. For under-counter models, this means: Turn off the water supply, remove the cartridges, twist them out, wrap them airtight in cling film, and place them in the refrigerator. The cartridges can be stored there for up to four months and then reused. Filter replacement will then be extended by the storage time.

All our products have a thread with the thread size M22 internal thread.
So you need a threaded connection of M22 external thread on your faucet.
If you need a different thread, we offer numerous adapters to make the transition from your thread to our water swirlers or the "Okato" countertop filter.

The ToneOne has an implosion vortex chamber, reducing the flow rate to approximately 3.8 liters per minute. The Trinity has three implosion vortex chambers, reducing the flow rate to approximately 11.4 liters per minute. This, of course, depends on the water pressure at the tap.

The turbulence also occurs with less pressure, but it is not as strong.

Based on our experience and numerous customer reports, we can report the following, but cannot guarantee it: Your hair can become much softer, and you need less shampoo. Your scalp will be less tight. Your skin's appearance can improve, and psoriasis or atopic dermatitis can be reduced. You'll need fewer care products.

Our Kristallwirbel® shower heads have a standard 1/2 inch external thread connection.

You unscrew the aerator of your faucet.

Measure the thread of the unscrewed aerator with a
Thread gauge or you measure the diameter of the aerator thread and
share this together with the information whether it is an external or

It is also helpful to send several photos in which the thread is visible with the measuring tape attached.

For taps with hose connection you also have the

Typically, this solution requires a 1/2" female thread on your hose.

This handle is chrome-plated.

The test period for the water swirler ends after 10 days from receipt of the goods.
The test period for countertop filters ends after 14 days from receipt of the goods.

Time and again, the guiding value leads to confusion and misunderstandings.
The conductivity meter is essentially "quality control" for an osmosis system, which you don't have.

As the name suggests, the conductivity of water is measured in microsiemens - this depends on the mineral content (minerals conduct electricity - among others mainly calcium and magnesium) of the
water.

Since osmosis removes almost everything (as far as we know) from the
When the water is extracted, no minerals are contained anymore, and thus the conductivity is between 5 and 20 microsiemens, depending on the membrane fineness.

Activated carbon filtration does not remove minerals from the water.

Although the structure is changed slightly so that limescale no longer builds up so sustainably on fittings, fundamentally salts are not filtered out, only substances such as pesticides, plasticizers (bisphenols), heavy metals, aluminum, lead, drug residues, hormones, suspended and flavoring substances, chlorine (see list on the world wide web).

These are substances (even if only present in trace amounts) that put a strain on our body, our liver and our brain and often accumulate in the body.

For this reason, there is no difference in conductivity between activated carbon-filtered water and your tap water.
The conductivity level therefore does not provide any information about the quality of the water. Here is more information on conductivity (ppm, microsiemens).
