Perla Nova – ultrafine bubbles from nothing but your water pressure

The Perla Nova creates ultrafine bubbles – nanobubbles – in five Crystal Vortex™ chambers of solid pure titanium, with no electricity, no pump and no electronics. The pressure of your water line alone drives the water through the chambers, sets it spinning and breaks the entrained air into bubbles of 80 to 180 nanometres.

The chambers are identical to those we measured in the laboratory: 12 to 19 million bubbles per millilitre, zeta potential down to −33.5 mV. We will gladly send you the lab reports on request. Read what nanobubbles do in the shower.

✧ What it does for you

The water beads more finely over the skin and spreads more evenly – many customers describe it as “like silk”. The negatively charged bubbles lift sebum and residue without shower gel having to help; often far less is needed. The air in the shower smells fresh, like after summer rain, because negative ions are released as the bubbles collapse. After showering the skin feels softer and calmer; almost all feedback mentions noticeably better skin moisture.

✧ Lithium niobate at the centre – a functional crystal from high technology

The central chamber holds a lithium niobate crystal (LiNbO₃). Lithium niobate is one of the most remarkable crystal materials in technology: its polar lattice carries a permanent ferroelectric polarisation and combines piezoelectric, pyroelectric, electro-optic and nonlinear-optical properties in a single material. That is why it is used today in high-frequency engineering, photonics, sensor technology and even in hybrid quantum systems with superconducting circuits.

For Crystal Vortex™ technology, what interests us most is its pronounced electrical polarity. Nanobubbles, too, carry an electrically charged interface; their negative surface charge – the zeta potential – is decisive for how stable they remain in water. A permanently polarised crystal at the centre of the vortex is, to us, the natural partner for water that is meant to keep its charge.

✧ Rose quartz outside: more bubbles, more gentleness

Each of the four outer chambers holds a rose quartz. The crystals are not decoration: their edges and faces are part of the vortex geometry and, in our experience, increase the number of bubbles formed. Beyond that, rose quartz brings a quality to the water that we know from more than twenty years of manufactory work: a gentleness that shows above all in how the skin feels. Resonance plate, chambers and outlets in solid pure titanium – fully corrosion-resistant, even in salty environments, when travelling, in the camper or on the yacht. Nothing that needs power, nothing that has to be replaced after three years. Handmade in our small manufactory at Sulzemoos Castle, Bavaria.
